No performance experience necessary.

Refund Policy
If you cancel your regisration more than two weeks before camp
starts, we will refund your fee less a $25 administrative fee.
If you cancel your registration with less than two weeks, notice,
your fee may be credited to another Kaleidoscope camp for up
to one year. Once classes have started, there are no refunds.
Scholarships
Call (510) 845-8542 x 301 for an application form. Limited funds
available. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-serve
basis.

Mission
Our mission at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts is to engage
the artist within each of us and apply the principles of aesthetic
education. In the Kaleidoscope programs children and teens are
taught by professional teaching artists who incorporate artistic
training with fun and rigorous exercises and creative experiences.

Friday April 5, 3:30 pm
Join us this spring break for
exhilarating classes in stage combat, acting, scene study, music,
movement and most importantly, creating a performance. Students
will work with experienced Kaleidoscope teachers Dave Maier,
Brian Herndon and Dylan Russell, synthesizing a Kaleidoscope
of theatrical skills into a fun and engaging seasonal performance.

| Kaleidoscope Faculty Bios |
|
Beth Donohue is an actor, musician and teaching artist
who has worked in the Bay Area for over ten years. She is a member
of the award-winning Shotgun Players in Berkeley and has also
been on stage with Aurora Theatre Company, Center Rep, Kaliyuga
Arts, Word for Word and Berkeley Rep. A popular Kaleidoscope
teacher in our summer and holiday camps and afterschool programs,
Beth also sings and plays viola.
Kimberly Wilday is an actor, singer and dancer who has
worked in New York, Los Angeles and the Bay Area. She graduated
from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and has performed in
numerous shows including starring in 42nd Street at PCLO and
Mack and Mabel with LA's Reprise! Broadway's Best. Kimberly is
in her second year of teaching with the Julia Morgan Center for
the Arts Kaleidoscope program.
Brian Herndon is an actor and certified stage combat
instructor. He has performed with TheatreWorks, Pacific Stage
Alliance, California Shakespeare Festival and Center Repertory
Theatre. An instructor in stage combat, acting and physical comedy,
he has taught at the Academy of the Sword, Portola Valley Theatre
Conservatory and Odyssey Middle School among others. He received
his M.F.A. in acting from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
Milissa Carey is a frequent performer with Theatre
Works, Center Repertory Theatre of Walnut Creek, The Willows
Theatre Company, Foothill Theatre Company, Peninsula Civic Light
Opera, 42nd Street Moon, A.C.T. and others. Her training includes
a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music, a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from U.S.C.
and a Certificate of Acting from A.C.T.
Kimberly and Beth are trained
in the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education model of
arts-based learning and are working with the Julia Morgan Center
to bring this model to Bay Area schools in the coming school
year.
